I tend to find them in bright, sunny fields. But maybe that’s only because I walk in bright, sunny fields.
I find blueberries in rocky clearings. A bona fide botanist may know what types of terrain & soil to look for.
Our deer stands up near Voyageurs Nat. Park are on rocky forest ridges and we picked blueberries for hours last weekend. Filled buckets yet left millions up there.
