St Louis County Wear Orange Community Event
Wear Orange to raise awareness for gun violence prevention. There will be a few speakers to share actions we can all take to end gun violence. There will be informational tables including Be SMART, Moms Demand Action, grief counseling, suicide prevention, ERPOs and more. Enjoy free coffee, donuts, orange juice and oranges. We will ring a bell for the loved ones we’ve lost to gun violence including speaker Melissa Hortman. Remember to wear orange.
MSO Pops Orchestra and Jumpsuit
The Mesabi Symphony Orchestra’s annual fundraiser is funk-forward this year as the MSO Pops Orchestra joins with Jumpsuit, one of the hottest bands in Duluth. The night features Jumpsuit’s funky takes on all of the hits, including some originals.
A reception with a cash bar follows the show. Doors open at 6 p.m.; show starts at 7.

Crafternoon with Erin from Raw Materials: Intro to Japanese Shashiko
Learn the basics of the Japanese stitching technique that brings beauty and strength to everyday items. Learn about the set up process, the series of stitches including: running, pluses and stars. All supplies are included.

Glensheen offers an outdoor beer garden on Wednesday evenings at the Congdon estate during the month of June. The community is invited to walk the grounds and experience the gardens in full bloom with the option to purchase craft beer, ice cream or non-alcoholic drinks. Food is also available from a local food truck.
A featured brewer gives a “Brew Talk” starting at 6:30 p.m.

Trivia Night
Trivia Night at the Lake Superior Zoo happens on the second Wednesday of every month inside the Porcupine Pub at Lake Superior Zoo. Each night features a mix of animal-inspired questions alongside general trivia pulled from headlines, pop culture, sports, history and more.

5:50 p.m. – Register a team of up to six people
6 p.m. – Trivia starts
7:30 p.m. – Trivia wraps/prizes/Last call for alcohol
Trivia players can enjoy local drinks from Bent Paddle, Earth Rider, Wild State Cider and more. Warm pretzels, pizza or a variety of pub snacks will be available. This is a 21+ event, and the Porcupine Pub is the only area of the zoo open during trivia night.

Vibe on vinyl every first and third Thursday of the month. DJ sessions are from a rotating cast. Audience will hear sets from DJ ANIBODY, Saint John, DJ Fraudulent, DJ StaggaLee, Natty Nico, Steeze in the Breeze, Bog Boy, Moeview and Al Pajamas. All are welcome.

Whole Foods Co-op’s Duluth Hillside location hosts a coffee meetup on the third Friday of each month. Community members can drop in, grab a cup of coffee or tea, and connect at their own pace. There’s no agenda and no registration; anyone can stop by for five minutes or stay for the whole hour.

Cookies on Tap 2026
Girl Scouts Lakes and Pines partners with local breweries, cideries and restaurants to present the annual Cookies on Tap event, where cookie-inspired brews are paired with appetizers for a fundraiser supporting leadership programming and scholarships for Twin Ports-area Girl Scouts.
The event includes live music and a silent auction.
Tickets are $40 at eventbrite.com. Safe driver tickets are $20. Attendees must be at least 21 years old.
Summer Fest
Everything raised at this event goes directly to the program support for youth, mentors and families through Mentor North. Attendees can expect music from The Gemstones, NurD and DJ Hayes, food from Love Creamery, Oasis Del Norte and R & B Grilled Cheese, yard games and tabletop games, auctions and much more. Chum Rhubarb Fest 2026
Chum’s 21st annual Rhubarb Festival promises lots of rhubarb — including hundreds of pies, muffins and crisps. This year’s festivities will include crafts, games, kids’ activities, live music and several newly-debuted activities for the entire family.
All proceeds raised through the Rhubarb Festival go directly to Chum, a Duluth nonprofit that serves more than 8,000 people annually who are homeless, low-income, hungry or otherwise marginalized.
Bong Airport Open House 2026
The Lake Superior Squadron and the Blue Water Big Band present a day of food, flying and fun at the Bong Airport in Superior. Rides are available for purchase from Superior Flying Services and on the Commemorative Air Forces Minnesota Wing’s BT-13.
