Sons of Fogtown

Sons of Fogtown play a mix of originals and covers from across genres and generations from artists like Santana, Weezer, Pink Floyd, White Stripes, Tom Petty, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead, The Rolling Stones and more.

MSO Pops Orchestra and Jumpsuit

The Mesabi Symphony Orchestra’s annual fundraiser is funk-forward this year as the MSO Pops Orchestra joins with Jumpsuit, one of the hottest bands in Duluth. The night features Jumpsuit’s funky takes on all of the hits, including some originals.

A reception with a cash bar follows the show. Doors open at 6 p.m.; show starts at 7.

Salt and Pine

Salt and Pine is the alt-folk duo of Charity Huot Benedict and Nate Weiler.

This performance is on Bent Paddle’s outdoor stage in “The Yard.” If the weather is poor the show moves indoors to the Cosmic Stage.

Duluth Shape Note Monthly Singing

The local shape note singing group meets for a singing event on the first Sunday of every month. Shape Note Singing is an archaic, boisterous, four-part harmony style of singing originating in the British Isles in the 1700s. Facilitators provide instruction, song books and refreshments. The event has no religious affiliation. Everyone is welcome regardless of singing ability.

Learn & Sing Sea Shanties

Paul Webster and other shantymen lead this twice-monthly event, featuring sea shanties and other work songs that are easy to join in on. Experienced and inexperienced singers are welcome.

The events are free, but a $5 to $10 donation is appreciated.

A Taste of Ireland

Performed by former World Irish dance champions and featuring dancers from Lord of the Dance, Riverdance and the recent West End cast of Éireann, A Taste of Ireland brings the spirit and energy of modern Ireland to life with a pint of Irish wit. Peat Boggs

Peat Boggs is an eclectic quartet that plays an organic blend of groove, jazz, and twisted folk, shifting from smooth melodies to hints of doom and surf rock. Cole Webster shapes the band’s sound with gritty, expressive guitar. Ben Wagener holds down the low end with melodic, wigglin’ bass lines. Chris Shea drives the groove on drums and all things rhythm. Charlie French delivers murky yet reflective lyricism that weaves through the band’s lush arrangements. The band released its second album Setting In in March.

Celtic Song Circle

Celtic Song Circle is an event where attendees can sing and play Irish and Scottish favorites in a group setting. Instruments are welcome.

Courtside Concerts at Pier B

Make plans for summer nights of soul, funk and groove on the water with Soulhead for Pier B Hotel’s Courtside Concert Series.

The series takes place every Wednesday in June, July and August from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Vinyl Sighting Presents: Northern Wax Crew

Vibe on vinyl every first and third Thursday of the month. DJ sessions are from a rotating cast. Audience will hear sets from DJ ANIBODY, Saint John, DJ Fraudulent, DJ StaggaLee, Natty Nico, Steeze in the Breeze, Bog Boy, Moeview and Al Pajamas. All are welcome.

Celtic Jam

Every Thursday, Sir Benedict’s brings a little Celtic twist to the English pub with the Celtic Jam. This open session is available to anyone who wants to join in and is open to all ages and talent levels.

Glitteratti

Glitteratti consists of songwriter Marc Gartman on guitar, Dave Carroll on electric guitar, Tim Saxhaug on bass, and Kyle Keegan on drums. The group formed in Duluth in 2013.

Duluth-stämman 2026

The fourth annual Duluth-stämman: Folk Music & Dance Festival will offer dances, workshops, jam circles, performances, youth workshops and activities and a unique experience that is inclusive to people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. Admission is free for any youth who participate in a music or dance workshop. This year’s musical performers will include many Nordic musicians from around North America and two special guests from Denmark.
