Local scientists try standup comedy for the first time during this night of laughter, learning and libations as Science Riot brings its in-person comedy show to Duluth.
After a crash course in comedy, real-life scientists trade their microscopes for the microphone and deliver hilarious takes on their real-life work.
Science Riot is a nonprofit that teaches scientists how to do public outreach through standup-style comedy about their field of expertise. The goal is to make science accessible, relatable and engaging. Think late-night monologue meets TED talk.

Mary Mack and North Star Comedy Hour
In her variety show, North Star Comedy Hour, comedian Mary Mack combines sketch, variety and late night talk show formats for a fun-loving mashup of music, poetry, stand up and sketch comedy.
A hybrid of Minnesota and Wisconsin, Mack is a favorite on the radio and podcasts around the country. Currently, she stars as Jesse in the cult-favorite Hulu cartoon Solar Opposites, and voices several characters on Disney’s Kiff.
