Upon Reflection

The best thing I witnessed today was a child in a big, green, probably homemade helmet shouting at his friends, “Hey! Somebody punch me!”

Beat that.

Your honor, I’d like to ask that my client Mr. Starfire’s comments be stricken from the record. He’s clearly under the influence of narcotics … or prune juice.

Either PDD is languishing, or it’s reached a new level of brilliance. One or the other…

Speaking of children in big, probably homemade things: I don’t know if this beats Paul, because I didn’t see this kid today – it was a couple years ago.

I saw a crowd of Minnesotans on their feet, yelling and dancing, at a Springsteen concert at the X last night.

Yesterday, on 3 separate occasions, I witnessed small children under 2 with a bottle of “Bug Juice”!
I found out the name from my daughter whose son (age 3) desires to drink from the sugary nirvana of Bug Juice.
It must be a marketing genius that comes up with this stuff or it’s the color of the juice -deep blue, red, and green.
So upon reflection I believe dentistry will be needed in those children’s immediate future.

“bug juice” is l.o.a.d.e.d. with sugar and high fructose corn syrup, and is therefore not approved for consumption in our house.

when i was in the navy, the cooks used it (well, maybe not “bug juice” brand specifically, but a similar substance that we affectionately called “bug juice”) to take the tarnish off the copper pipes and tubes in the galley, and the DC men used it for similar purposes on copper firefighting equipment.

I assure you the other kids were not at all afraid of hurting their hands.
