The Devon Allman Project
Devon Allman has led such bands as Honeytribe, Royal Southern Brotherhood and The Allman Betts Band. However, three bands just weren’t enough, so he hit the road with The Devon Allman Project.
Allman and his band play songs of The Allman Brothers and Gregg Allman, as well as Devon’s fan-favorite originals and even some surprise covers.

Silver Bay Music in the Park 2026
Silver Bay Music in the Park is a series of free concerts held on summer Friday nights at City Center Park next to Silver Bay City Hall. Performer styles range from jazz and bluegrass to singer-songwriter folk and rock and roll. Attendees can bring a lawn chair and/or a blanket.
Teague Alexy
Americana musician Teague Alexy plays most Monday evenings at Sir Ben’s.
Concert in the Corn 2026
The four-day Concert in the Corn in Mason, about 100 miles southeast of Duluth, kicks off with Johnny Wad, Nick Kuka and The Rocky Mountain Regulators.

Concerts on the Pier 2026: Adam and The Dynamite Club with Squid City Slingers
Food trucks for the night include UpDawg, Bowlz n Thangz and Oasis Del Norte.
Glensheen’s Concerts on the Pier are an opportunity for Duluthians to wander the Glensheen grounds and enjoy free live music. Attendees are invited to bring a lawn chair or blanket. Food and drinks are available for purchase but small outside snacks and non-alcoholic drinks are allowed. Do not bring in large coolers. Service animals only are allowed on the estate. It is also encouraged to bike, boat, walk or kayak to the concert since parking is limited. Openers perform from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., continuing with headliners from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
This year, Glensheen is offering a skip-the-line package. The package includes a punchcard to all nine concerts, allowing folks to skip the line with early access, a 2026 Concerts on the Pier t-shirt and a sticker. Those can be purchased at tickets.umn.edu.
Courtside Concerts at Pier B
Make plans for summer nights of soul, funk and groove on the water with Soulhead for Pier B Hotel’s Courtside Concert Series.
The series takes place every Wednesday in June, July and August from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Concert in the Corn 2026
Day two out of four of Concert in the Corn includes a lineup of Scotty McCreery, Drake White, Hailey Whitters, Chuck Briseno and Aftershock.

Beer Gardens at Great Lakes Aquarium 2026
Beer Garden events are held outside the Great Lakes Aquarium every Thursday in July and August and feature rotating food trucks and musical artists, with views of the Aerial Lift Bridge and Duluth Harbor.
This week’s musical act is Scarlett Woods. The food truck is Johnny B’s.
Admission is free. Cash or credit cards are accepted for food and beverages purchased at the outdoor bar. Families and non-human companions are welcome, though guests must be at least 21 years old to consume alcohol.
Great Lakes Aquarium is open for indoor exploration from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Standard admission rates apply. Indoor restrooms will remain accessible until the Beer Garden closes at 8 p.m.
Celtic Jam
Every Thursday, Sir Benedict’s brings a little Celtic twist to the English pub with the Celtic Jam. This open session is available to anyone who wants to join in and is open to all ages and talent levels.

Day three out of four of Concert in the Corn features a lineup of Brantley Gilbert, Craig Morgan, Chris Kroeze, The Northwood’s Band and Hay River Sisters.

Charlie Parr and The Fretliners
Charlie Parr is a guitarist, songwriter and interpreter of traditional music who has released 19 albums over two decades and has been known to perform up to 275 shows a year.
The Fretliners swept the Telluride Bluegrass and RockyGrass band competitions in 2023. That fall, their debut self-titled album earned widespread acclaim, praised for its originality and heartfelt lyricism.

Duluth Superior Pride Mayors’ Reception 2026
Community leaders welcome visitors and residents to the annual Duluth Superior Pride celebration during the traditional Mayors’ Reception event. The festivities include live music, snacks, a cash bar and a brief presentation to honor contributors to the LGBTQIA2S+ community.

Old Time Folk Jam
Duluth Folk School’s Old Time Folk Jam is held on the first and third Saturday of each month. Sometimes there is some folk dancing during the jam, depending on the audience.
The Wallflowers
The Wallflowers are marking the 30th anniversary of their landmark album, “Bringing Down the Horse” with a nationwide U.S. tour — making sure to stop at the Big Top.
The Wallflowers have drawn inspiration from a slew of first-generation American songwriters, including The Band and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. They will not only be paying tribute to their own album by playing it in full, but are also set to play Tom Petty’s “Long After Dark” in its entirety.

Super Secret Show
It has not yet been announced who is performing at this “super secret show,” but here’s the clue from Big Top Chautauqua:
“Trust us when we say this is one of the most requested returns in our history. If you’ve been around long enough to remember those legendary sold out nights on the hill, you already know why this matters.”
Tickets are available at bigtop.org and are expected to sell out quickly when the artist is announced.
Chester Bowl Fall Fest 2026
The 42nd annual Chester Bowl Fall Fest features vendors displaying arts, crafts, produce and information about local programs, along with food venders, live music and activities for children.
Suggested donations of $5 per person or $10 per family are accepted at the entrance to support Chester Bowl’s scholarship program, supporting low-income children and families who want to ski, snowboard or attend summer camp but aren’t able to afford the registration fees.
The public is encouraged to use the three free shuttle buses that run continuously from the University of Minnesota Duluth parking lot B, located at the intersection of College Street and University Drive. Parking is very limited near the event, so walking, biking or using the shuttles is highly recommended. There are a limited number of handicapped accessible parking spots near the entrance to the park.
The rain date is Sunday, Sept. 20, with the same hours.

Blues Brother Tribute Show with the McCullough Bros
Grab your shades and call your crew — this mission from God is all about music. The McCullough Brothers, joined by other local performers, bring the iconic Blues Brothers sound roaring back to life for one night only at the Reif.
Adult tickets are $25 in advanced and $30 at the door. Student and children tickets, both in advance and at the door, are $10.

Matinee Musicale: The Balourdet Quartet
The Balourdet Quartet is acclaimed for its vibrant energy and masterful blend of technical precision and emotional depth that brings a fresh perspective to both beloved classics and modern compositions. Its unique closeness and willingness to take creative risks earned it the 2024 Avery Fisher Career Grant, as well as Chamber Music America’s 2024 Cleveland Quartet Award. With more than 70 concerts per season, recent highlights include the Balourdet’s debuts at Carnegie and Wigmore Halls, and new string quartets by composers Karim Al-Zand, Paul Novak and Nicky Sohn. The group has recently been named the first ever Quartet-in-Residence at the Seattle Chamber Music Society and completed residencies at Indiana University and the New England Conservatory’s Professional String Quartet Program.
Adult tickets are $35 in advance at matineemusicale.org, and $40 at the door. Tickets for senior citizens are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Student admission is free.
Doors open at 2:30 p.m. and after the concert, attendees are invited to meet the Balourdet Quartet during a free reception.
Matinee Musicale is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization that has brought world-class chamber music to the Duluth-Superior area since 1900. Its annual concert series focuses on young, rising artists.
