    Return it, losers.

This kind of “prank” makes me sick. It’s not even funny, why would someone deprive kids of using Chester Bowl’s ski runs by pulling something like this? I hope whoever stole it returns it and soon.

Why are people so damn dumb?

Why are people so damn nasty? What kind of person steals something like this? Someone knows where this chair is; I hope they talk soon. It’s an outrage by some very selfish idiots.

Someone has got to know something or have seen something. You don’t just make a ski lift chair disappear.

When the find the bums they should strap them into a chair in January and leave them up in the air for a few hours.

I’m sure it’s just a college prank. They probably had no idea how expensive it was, and it will find its way back soon.

$14,000 to replace. Surely many machine shops and welders in town could construct. I would think the only part needing outsourcing would be the part attaching chair to cable.

And the mold for the plastic seat. Unless the CBIC has a 3D printer handy.

I’m sure there’s a safety issue involved. They would probably avoid any “non-approved” seat, as a failure would be pretty bad.

Could have been scrapers. They are ruthless. Were there tire tracks from the access trail?

    Chair has been returned!

    Yay, it’s all good! 🙂

    From the DNT …
Storm said he figures that maybe some college students happened by, saw the chair on the ground, and thought it might look good in their house or dorm room.

“They probably thought they’d have some fun with it, but it got a lot of publicity,” Storm said. “They got a little nervous and brought it back.”

Yep. This comment brings back the shit people gave me a few years ago for assuming college students made off with my kid’s skeleton stolen on Halloween. Just glad the assholes here — whoever they might be — brought back the ski lift chair. And maybe learned a lesson in the process.

    Snicker.

Claire, stealing your kid’s skeleton! That’s witchcraft. Nobody should be left without skeletal support, so cruel…
