Richard Narum has some great shots in a Facebook album of the hoopla outside Norway Hall.
King Harald and Queen Sonja Visit Duluth
(Apologies if that link is not public and requires you to be Rich’s friend. It’s not easy being Rich’s friend, but it comes with certain benefits, including nice pictures.)
And random heckling on the middle of the street, which is the easy part.
There are more on John D D’Auria’s Facebook album “King Harald V & Queen Sonja of Norway visiting Enger Tower.”
Thank you for using one of my photos, I really appreciate it.
Actually, I made the gallery public and intend to put them up on Flickr too, but I needed to get my furnace fixed first!! Brrrrrrr …
Thanks for the link Paul.
There was also a nice article in AftenPost, with a photo at Norway Hall.
Alt for Norge i Duluth
I’ll fix your furnace.
Paul Walsh has a nice set in the Facebook album “King of Norway Visit to Duluth Minnesota.”
Walsh also has photos in a Minnesota Public Radio gallery — “Hosting Norway’s King Harald V and Queen Sonja.”
I must comment that Duluth’s First Couple has never looked so prestigious and beautiful!
Agreed, heysme. Someone commented on the mayor’s Facebook page that they wondered who the Norwegian princess was, until they realized it was the mayor’s wife. I thought the same thing! Not only did they represent us well personally, they looked foxy.
