This isn’t a “miracle of Twitter” story. It is an old-fashioned case of a local newspaper writing the story, and it getting picked up by the Associated Press and distributed around the world.

If the DNT hadn’t written the story, chances are you would not have heard about it. So, skip the “NBC New York” link off the photo above, and go to the original, local story: https://www.duluthnewstribune.com/event/article/id/117436/

Ouch. But he’s right, to be fair I did read about it first in the DNT. This is a sensitive time for DNT and I should have credited them with the story. Also, I know that many suffering twitter fatigue, but for me it is still new and very amusing. Especially when a local item like this one gets picked up. And in my defense, it is a pretty popular story on twitter, am morning shows, and among other goofy news outlets.

And in case it is needed, I was once again using hyperbole, I don’t really think this is a bigger story than Bob Dylan

Um, Elbert, NBC New York isn’t going to have those stories if you don’t support the local paper.

    You reap what you sow.

DNT is reaping what it sows.

I think to put it more accurately, the DNT is raping what it sows…
