Civic Conversation: Disability in Our Community
FreeThis event kicks off Disability Pride Month with a discussion about what is needed to be an accessible and welcoming community.
As America marks 250 years, the American Conversation Project is bringing people together across the country to share stories, listen deeply and strengthen the bonds that hold people together. This summer — during Civic Season, June 19 through July 4 — libraries across the country are hosting recorded small-group conversations where neighbors share what’s on their minds: what they love about where they live, what feels broken, what they hope for, and how they want to take action.
Registration for this event is available at the Two Harbors Library front desk; the event is in the library’s meeting room. Attendees receive a $25 gift card to compensate their time. Refreshments are provided.
