Welcome to the Roaring Twenties. This is the story of one wild evening in the Manhattan apartment shared by Queenie and Burrs, a vaudeville dancer and a vaudeville clown. In a relationship marked by vicious behavior and recklessness that mirrors the time in which they live, they decide to throw a party to end all parties. As the guests arrive, we meet an assortment of people living on the edge. Queenie and Burrs set out to make each other jealous, but Queenie begins to fall in love with her conquest named Black. After a long night of decadence, Burrs’ jealousy erupts and violence rears its ugly head.
Sex. Violence. Sin … and Gin. These elements, along with show-stopping choreography and serious vocal fireworks, combine to fuel this bold, bawdy and mesmerizing musical.

Every weekend is a 3-Day Weekend
Every week there are 6 performances at the Teatro Zuccone – guaranteed. Two shows on Thursday night, two on Friday night and two on Saturday night. One prime-time show for the general public (rated PG – for everybody), and one late-night show for those who like their entertainment served with a PBR tall boy (rated R – for big kids).

A Summer Night of Sondheim
Join Renegade’s friends Adam Sippola & Carolyn LePine with Evan Kelly, Susanne Wilfahrt and Patrick Colvin on June 24 and/or June 25 for an evening of music from composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim.
Tickets are $10, and all ages are welcome. Reserve your seat online at teatrozuccone.com, or get them the day of the event at Teatro Zuccone. The box office opens at 6pm. Doors open at 7:30pm, and the show starts at 8 pm.

Opening Night of Reasons to be Pretty
Opening night of Reasons to Be Pretty is Thursday, June 2, at 8pm. Stick around after the show for the after party in the Zeitgeist lobby featuring food from the Zeitgeist Cafe and music by Mae Martin. Then, stick around for a free Long Form Improv set from the newly formed Long Form Team of Renegade Improv.
And if all that wasn’t enough, opening night is pay what you can! Only have $1? That’s fine! Feel like the show is worth $100? We will totally accept!

Join Renegade Theater Company, Lori Pietsch State Farm, and the cast and crew of Dead Man’s Cell Phone for a closing night celebration with Blackwater!

Dead Man’s Cell Phone Opens Thursday
An incessantly ringing cell phone in a quiet café. A stranger at the next table who has had enough. And a dead man – with a lot of loose ends. This wildly imaginative new comedy from MacArthur “Genius” Grant recipient and Pulitzer Prize finalist, Sarah Ruhl, will amuse, delight and move you. A work about how we memorialize the dead – and how that remembering changes us – it is the odyssey of a woman forced to confront her own assumptions about morality, redemption and the need to connect in a technologically obsessed world.

Renegade Free Improv Weekend
Renegade Theater Company is proud to announce a free improv weekend on Friday, March 12 and Saturday, March 13. Tickets are on a first-come, first-served basis, and you must be present to claim your ticket. Tickets will be available beginning at 9:30 p.m on both nights. The improv performances are at 10:30 p.m on both Friday and Saturday at the Teatro Zuccone in downtown Duluth.
