UWS holds its annual Evening of Wine and Jazz, the sixth Design DLH event is centered around the concept of “Minnesota Nice,” St. Scholastica Theatre presents the stalking-themed play Boy Gets Girl, the Lake Superior Zoo hosts a Party for the Planet, it’s Astronomy Day at the Marshall Alworth Planetarium and the classic musical 42nd Street is at the Duluth Playhouse.

Big changes are afoot at Perfect Duluth Day. It’s the final week of the PDD Calendar‘s current look. Starting Sunday, April 17th, we switch over to our new WordPress platform, which will make adding and viewing events easier and more pleasurable for all. St. Scholastica Theatre presents the stalking-themed Boy Gets Girl, the Cabin Fever Festival brings a weekend of old-time music to town, the Duluth East robotics team is raising money, the 27th annual Fitger’s 5k Run and Walk takes place on Saturday, over 100 different beers from over 25 brewers can be sampled at the Gitchee Gumee Brewfest and guitarist Christoph Bruhn plays the Teatro Zuccone.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer John Mellencamp brings his bag of hits to the DECC, the latest chapter in the Star Wars saga screens for free in Superior, it’s time for clowning around at the DECC with the AAD Shrine Circus, Caroline Smith returns to Duluth to play a show at the Red Herring, the weekly PDD photo feature “Selective Focus” is celebrated, mad science is being dropped at UWS, it’s once again time to celebrate consensual sex with rock music and several local musicians play to fund a greenhouse in West Duluth.

Minnesota Congressman Rick Nolan comes to town on Monday for a forum, tap dancers, mayors and musicians come together in what’s being called a “lavish feast of local talent,” a locally-made Christmas coffee-table book is released, a man who spent two decades in prison speaks and comedian Josh Blue performs in Canal Park.

The Twin Ports Thanksgiving Buffet takes place, there’s a Thanksgiving Day Walk/Run in Lake Nebagamon, self-guided Christmas tours get underway at Glensheen Mansion, there’s a Funked-Up Dance Party at R.T. Quinlan’s, UMD Women’s Hockey gets discounted, Small Business Saturday is in effect with a multi-entrepreneur pop-up shop and the Northland’s first live-action-adventure escape room opens.
