The television miniseries Category 6: Day of Destruction premiered on the CBS network on Nov. 14, 2004. Part one includes a reference to Duluth at the 21-minute mark.
Brian Dennehy plays the role of National Weather Service Chief Meteorologist Andy Goodman. He is a week away from a forced retirement when a series of storms converge on Chicago, forming a massive hurricane. The unexpected storms enrage Goodman, who implores his staff to keep a watchful eye on weather patterns and keep him informed.
“From now on, if a dog farts in Duluth I expect somebody in this office to know about it,” he growls.
