Postcard from the Duluth Auditorium

The Duluth Auditorium — now known as the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center‘s Symphony Hall — opened in 1966. It has hosted an extensive variety of musicians, comedians, theatrical companies and other entertainers over the years and is the home stage of the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra and Minnesota Ballet. Seating capacity is 2,221.

The caption on the back of the postcard reads:

The Auditorium in the new $6,500,000.00 Arena Auditorium Complex accommodates 2,400 in a luxurious setting with the finest acoustics. The stage is 95′ wide — 48′ deep. 50 sets of lines in the 85′ high stage tower to fly scenery. Stage left — rehearsal rooms — star and group dressing rooms. Symphony Concerts — Operas — Musicals — Theatrical Groups and Stars of Stage, Screen, Radio and TV perform here.
