The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood advisory until 10 p.m. tonight. Duluth city staff issued a news release reminding the public not to drive through standing water, and keep a safe distance from the shoreline.

The city of Duluth has closed access to Park Point for non-residents. The Duluth Police Department is checking identification at the Aerial Lift Bridge. Residents who live on Park Point are able to get home, and are able to leave Park Point if they choose.

A portion of Canal Park Drive has been closed due to standing water. Buchanan and Morse streets have also been closed for precautionary purposes. Brighton Beach has been closed to traffic and pedestrians. 131st Avenue West and is closed at Highway 23. All of these closures will be in place until weather and road conditions improve.
