Postcard from Somebody’s House
This undated postcard shows Somebody’s House, a restaurant at Duluth’s Mt. Royal Shopping Center operated by noted cookbook author Beatrice Ojakangas. It opened in February 1966.
The caption on the back reads:
We have tried to make Somebody’s House a quiet and fun place to eat special foods with both familiar and foreign flavors. We also have a special children’s menu with prices for clean plates.
Hours are 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
Seven days a week.
No parking problem — Come as you are.

So Park State Bank at 120 Mount Royal Shopping Circle used to be Somebody’s House. The exterior has been heavily modified over the years but that brick end piece and the roof line around it are pretty unmistakable.
