Waves crashed along the shores of Lake Superior today causing flooding in downtown Grand Marais. This is at the easy Bay of Grand Marais, Mn near Drury Lane Books. There were people in their cars wave watching. I'm sure they thought I was crazy when I got out and started taking pictures! The wind was blowing so hard, and I got absolutey pelted by rain and seaspray! It was intense.
Water is breaking over the rocks and into the street. The waves have kicked up the beach stones and they are all over the parking lot at Artist's Point. The parking lot by the Co-op is under water (that always happens though).

These are some of the biggest waves I have ever witnessed on the big lake. I have also never been so soaked in my entire life, same with my camera. A few less buttons are working after this morning, hoping I can save her 🙏
