Postcards from the Sunrise Motel

The undated postcard above, published by Elton H. Gujer Company of Duluth, depicts the Sunrise Motel in Hermantown.

The caption on the back reads:

Enjoyment is Standard Equipment at Sunrise Motel
Open year around in the center of vacationland. 20 single and double new and modern units with private bath. Thermostatically controlled heating. 4 miles north of downtown Duluth on highways 53 and 94. Phone Randolph 7-3094. Member American Travel Ass’n.

The location on the postcard is likely a typo, and highway 94 was supposed to be 194.

The text on the back of this postcard is similar to the other postcard, but the number of units increased to 35 and the distance from Downtown Duluth jumps to six miles.
