Where in Duluth?

A special holiday edition of PDD’s photo geographical identification competition sensation thing or something.
As usual with “Where in Duluth?” there is no prize for being the first to identify the location of this photo, other than bragging rights.

In the woods
You’re getting warm.
Yous stay off mah claim or I fetch ol hickory off the wall and run yous off! And stay away from ol hickory, too!
Yes sir, Bubba. I’d never mess with anyone who uses an old rotary lawnmower as a counterweight.
I say in the woods above Norton Park.
Yous mean the fingar snatchar? Is got sentermetal values. And a well documented provenance. Gonna make me rich rich rich on the Anteek Roadshow! Then cash out mah tire bisness to the internet people. Maybe yous buy it.
I really thought at first it was the messed up tree-house across highland from the cemetery. You have to go in a ways to see it. I don’t even know if it’s still there. It looks similar, in any case.
It’s gotta be the west side of Chester Creek just down from E 6th St….looks like the fort that I left out there the last time I visited grandpa’s back in 82..
chester park.
Norton Park, across from Oneota Cemetery and west side of Chester Creek are all wrong answers.
Okay, now I’m curious. Keene Creek trail?
Nope.
Downer Park area?
YES! Very well done, pH!
I’m not sure if the trail this tree fort is on has a name, but it’s just south of where the Superior Hiking Trail turns off Vermilion Road. The trail splits into a couple of different directions, and has several entry points. In addition to the spot on Vermilion Road, you can find this trail where Owatonna Street dead ends and where Vassar Street dead ends.
I was going to say in between Morley Parkway, the golf course and Ridgeview (or whatever) Road… kind of in between East High and Snively. Actually, there was some kid’s fort there but I think they burnt it down!

Did I win?
I bet that shopping bag on the wall is where they keep the stolen cigarettes.
Vicarious, you win the Sardonic Comment Award. The prize is in the bag, right next to the cigarettes. You know where to find it.
wow, this is sad. I hike/run/bike this area 2-3 times a week (I enter from Owatonna St.) and I have never seen this.
Nice quiet hiking, especially in the fall. I used my bragging rights responsibly today; refrained from boastful or rude gesturing with my thumbs. So, not really different than any other Tuesday. But it feels good to win.
I almost thought it was the shack me and the maida’s built years ago up behind the zoo
